World Music Day Held At Our Sacred Space

 

Our Sacred Space Auditorium was inaugurated on World Music Day by P. Raghuveer, Addl PCCF/Director, T.S. Forest Academy. The inaugural event featured World Music Day performances by musicians and singers who had auditioned for the event earlier. The 500-seater eco-friendly auditorium is the latest addition to the city’s cultural spaces. Made of earth-friendly materials and mud plaster, the auditorium features restored and refurbished majestic old doors, window fixtures and electrical fittings. The chairs and tables are made from recycled wood and the Space does not use plastic materials. The auditorium has a 50-car parking space providing an ideal space for large performances and events.

The music event featured a dozen artists take stage including the Boieni Sisters on Carnatic vocals. Siddharth Bendi who recently concluded a successful Beautiful World Fundraiser also performed. Nayantara Nandakumar, Director, said, “When the musician has already put in the work and has come to the critical point when their work is ready to be presented.”
