Char Ka Dhamakaa, Literally A Dhamaka

Udaan Performing Arts presented Char Ka Dhamakaa, four Hyderabadi comedy plays at Phoenix Arena,  Hitec City. The first play, which was an outcome of Theatre Workshop Production, ‘Dulha Hona’ was written by Dr. Roopnarayan Sharma and the Hindustani adaptation, was by Saurabh Gharipurikar. As the name of the play suggests, Dulha Hona, the play left everyone in splits. Actors Lakshmi Vishvanathan, Subodh Kulkarni and Prashaant Sharma enacted their parts to full perfection. The second play, Miyan Biwi Ke Mantakhan, an original Marathi play written by Yogesh Soman and the Hyderabadi adaptation and direction was by Saurabh Gharipurikar. He along with Faria Abdullah played the key roles.

The third play, ‘Baighan Ki Zindagi’, and the fourth play ‘Miyan - Biwi’, too were originally written in Marathi by Yogesh Soman and re-scripted in Hyderabadi by Saurabh Gharipurikar. He also directed the two plays. The plays were a fun-riot and made the weekend, a very interesting one.
